Join all four LW pastors in a look at the parable of the soils.

A look at mothers in the Bible--Eunice (mother of Timothy), Hannah (mother of Samuel), and Jochebed (mother of Moses). What do their stories speak into ours' today?

Living Word believes in the healing power of Christ in our day, in this time. But we can not understand God's ways. Rest in the purpose of God. Believe Him for great things. But know that His plan A is far better than our plan could ever be.

In the Church, each one is part of His body. No exceptions. Each one has gifts. No exceptions. Each one is called to serve...to do his or her part. No exceptions.

What should the Church look like?

Christ is building up His Church one person at a time.

The Heart of the Church is Jesus Christ.

Christianity isn't centered on memories or keepsakes. Christ has risen! And He longs to have a personal relationship with you.

Jesus is the Lamb of God, given for us.

The world's definition of 'greatness' differs from Jesus' example. (Please note the livestream of today's service does not include the opening worship.)

The power of the Bible is revealed when we realize who Jesus is and the work He has done. It can open our hearts and ignite us to the core of missions.

Commitment. Love. Trust. These three attributes of God are crucial for a healthy marriage.

No matter how deep a rut or profound a crisis your marriage is in, both of you allowing Jesus to work in you can bring about a better marriage than you could ever imagine.

Marriage is not about happiness or living happily ever after. It's about the commitment and hard work of doing life with this person you have chosen.

We each have a tension within for something to fill our soul. If we are filling ourselves with things outside of God we will suffer the consequences of an empty soul. But if we fill our souls with the things of God (such as community, love, responsibility, respect, virtue) we will find peace within.

So many of us are stuck in a pit, but Jesus can change a life. Our God is a Savior God.

In proportion to our income, we place a certain value on things in our life...house, car, education. As Christ followers we should give 10% of our income. What does your budget say about the value God has in your life?

Life is in Jesus. Look forward to 2013 because God is 100% committed to BLESSING you with LIFE. Blessings involve the unknown. This means change is coming your way...holy interruptions. These are for a purpose...to divinely redirect you to a place where God's kingdom can flourish. Will you resist God or be ready to let Him work in you?

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…

Jesus is our Prince of Peace who came down to become one of us.

Who is this Jesus that transforms and changes lives so radically? Listen to what Isaiah foretells.

In darkness there is no journey with or toward God. Living in the light is following Jesus in faith and obedience.

A look at OT prophecies brought to fruition in the NT.

The world knows us by what we 'have.' Heaven knows us by what we 'give.' Celebrate the baptisms of those who gave their hearts to Jesus and now publicly want to declare that to the world. Then go on to celebrate Christmas by giving a piece of your heart to others and sharing Christ's love.

Your life and what you do… REALLY MATTER. Hear about four myths we might believe regarding work. Look at biblical guidelines of how we should go into our typical day and what role responsibility plays in our life.

A look at adultery and temptation in the book of Proverbs. Consider analyzing the following... 1. Where are you tempted? 2. When are you tempted? 3. Why are you tempted? And come up with a plan to help you run from sin... 1. Choose scripture verses to read and memorize. 2. Write how you will resist when tempted. 3. What does fleeing temptation look like for you? 4. Repent quickly when you fail.

A look at what Proverbs has to say about money and generosity...wise choices we can make that honor God and bring blessing.

A look at Proverbs chapter 22 verse by verse...wisdom directly from the Word of God that we pray we would apply to our lives.

How well are you doing at living wholeheartedly for God? Are you leaning on Christ or your own understanding in your life journey? Will you follow Christ regardless of the circumstances?

A look at the issue of fools and a glimpse of consequences of pride

Homework: As you read through Proverbs, grab hold of 5-7 verses you can claim as rules to live by. Add 3-5 of your own wisdom gems you already have established in your life. Embrace how supremelyimportant wisdom is.

Wisdom is living God’s truth out in your everyday life. Consider reading 4 chapters of Proverbs a week during our 7 week series and gain wisdom for your own walk with God.

The JOURNEY is all about your . . .growth, development, maturity. . . in abundant life. The JOURNEY toward maturity is . . .long, hard, costly. . . and worth it! The JOURNEY will build into your life . . .faith & hope, trust & surrender, endurance. . . and God’s blessing.

It's all about the destination. The journey takes you there.

How does the world deal with the issue of grief & loss? Learn the differences between the worlds' wisdom vs. God's regarding how Christians should grieve.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. (Galatians 5:16-21)

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8)

All because of Faith: We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. Romans 3:22

God can do whatever He wants, whenever He wants, however He wants and with whomever He wants.

“…You will be called by a new name that the mouth of the Lord will bestow.” (Isaiah 62:2) “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

When the storm in life overwhelms you, is Jesus enough?
